Who we are

Vrkan Ventures Private Limited (“Vrkan Ventures”, “we”, “us”) is a cross-border advisory and coordination firm, incorporated in India, with a presence in New Delhi and London. The data we collect

We work with businesses, so we deal mainly with professional contact information rather than consumer data. This typically includes:

• Enquiry data you provide through our forms, by email or in meetings — your name, business email, phone, company, role and the details of your enquiry.
• Newsletter data — the email address you give when you subscribe to our updates, handled through our email provider.
• Website data — cookies and similar technologies that record how the site is used (see Cookies below).

We do not seek or knowingly store special-category (sensitive) data, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

How we use your data

We use personal data to respond to your enquiries and provide our advisory and coordination services; to coordinate with the specialists and service providers involved in your project; to send updates or insights you have asked for; to operate and improve this website; and to meet our legal, professional and record-keeping obligations.

Our legal basis

Under the UK/EU GDPR we rely on our legitimate interests in running a business advisory practice and responding to you, the performance of a contract, your consent (for example, newsletter sign-up), and compliance with legal obligations. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 we process personal data for the lawful purposes for which you provide it, obtaining consent where the Act requires it.

Sharing and coordination

Vrkan Ventures coordinates regulated work that is carried out by qualified, independent professionals. Where your project requires it, and with your knowledge, we share relevant information with the lawyers, accountants, company-formation agents, tax advisers, banks and other specialists engaged for your matter. We also rely on trusted service providers — for example website hosting, email delivery and analytics — who process data on our behalf under appropriate terms. We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Our work is cross-border by nature, so personal data may move between India, the United Kingdom and the EU. Wherever data is transferred, we take appropriate steps to protect it in line with the GDPR and the DPDP Act.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed — to fulfil the purpose it was collected for, to maintain our business relationship, and to meet legal or professional obligations — after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data; to object to or restrict its processing; to withdraw consent; to request portability; and to complain to your data-protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office; in India, the Data Protection Board).
